Serving Suggestions
Curried Carrot with Ginger
Add cooked wild or natural rice to the soup after heating.
Reduce heavy cream and swirl into the soup.
Sweet Pea and Fennel
Serve with seared sea scallops or cubes of firm tofu sauteed
in butter. Serve chilled with an addition of cream and top
with fresh mint cut into thin strips.
Corn Chowder
Add cooked shellfish such as lobster, crab or shrimp. Also
boiled, diced chicken. Top with freshly minced chives or scallion
tops.
Asian Mushroom
Add cooked basamati rice, bay shrimp. Top with fresh, chopped
cilantro.
Tomato with Chickpea
Add fresh basil cut into thin ribbons and fresh, diced heirloom
tomatoes.
Lentil with Onion
Add cooked chicken, sausages, or grilled-firm tofu.
KEEP FROZEN UNTIL USE
Directions
Defrost in the refrigerator overnight. Remove lid and empty
soup from the plastic container into a heavy bottom saucepan.
Simmer over low heat and cook until hot. Stir frequently.
Alternately, defrost in a microwave for one minute. Place
soup in a heavy bottom saucepan over low heat and cook until
hot. Stir frequently. Allow to sit for a few minutes. Ladle
into serving bowls.
Always use caution when preparing, serving
and eating hot soup.
